Schools are supported individually with systems and processes and safeguarding is quality assured through reviews.

We have a highly experienced and knowledgeable team that offer both planned for and rapid IT support when needed. We are able to access systems remotely, which means that we can usually fix issues the same day. Schools also benefit from a weekly visit by the team, in order to carry out any non-urgent work and carry out regular maintenance or software updates for instance.

The team provide training for most of the IT related hardware and software used in the trust and schools. This training is available at any time, for as long as required. We know that IT changes in schools can sometimes be stressful for some staff, and therefore, any training is always delivered to suit individual schools.

Getting governance right is important because of the impact it has on the quality of education and the opportunities schools provide for their children. At Cygnus, we support headteachers with recruitment of new governors, and will help governing boards and headteachers to work successfully together, supporting and respecting each other’s roles and responsibilities.

Governors are encouraged to make use of our high quality bespoke CPD package, designed to provide them with the necessary skills and expertise to carry out their roles effectively. All meetings are professionally clerked and headteachers are supported by our in-house Governance Officer to ensure all meeting paperwork is prepared on time, therefore reducing the workload for senior leaders.
